Connecting Users quickly with Slack

The Problem: Users had access to a robust network with Hunt Club’s platform, yet struggled to efficiently get in touch with people. They lacked the ability to efficiently message contacts when managing high volume outreach, and craft messages to their tone that matches their style. When requesting an introduction to someone from a mutual contact, personalization and the right communication method was key. Users found the contacts in our platform, but then went to methods like Slack to communicate- and loosing all tracking and management of outcomes.

Our hypothesis: When users can efficiently and effectively get in touch with people in their network with their preferred communication method, they will be more likely to have a successful connection.

Discovery Process:

Outcome definition Activities
Opportunity Solution Mapping
User interviews and survey with Key Customers

Activities:
Product Trio brainstorming session to determine a variety of potential solutions
MVP scope and definition of “Good, Better, Best”
Identified assumptions, risk assessment
Defined Future state User flows
Usability testing with Key Customers

Solution:

In a two week sprint, we built a fully integrated Slack app that allowed users the ability to sync their Slack account through the HC Platform and communicate quickly with contacts. Based on user interviews, research and the discovery process, we determined that a Slack app would allow users the ability to quickly communicate with their contacts and requests introductions to people of interest. Users can then track their messaging in the TRM and have a better understanding of their relationships and Outreach success.
